Oh these are great Sure, she was arrested for cocaine possession…BUT LOOK AT HER FABULOUS HAIR. One thing I love about this collection is the indication of how “ordinary” people dressed (even if many are from what the 19th century would have called the “dangerous classes”). I love the fact that she’s wearing tango shoes (demonstrating they did continue this far into the 20s), has a knotted rope of opera length pearls (some people dispute they were worn knotted in the 20s) and her hairstyle, which is indicative of a type of bob we don’t often see depicted. Somebody’s grandma was the connection.
